On a robotic experimental platform, the Detangling Hair Brush was compared with the traditional "naive" brushing method (equivalent to the regular brushing motion of a regular plastic comb). The results showed that the regular brushing method required more brush strokes to achieve the same detangling effect.
For the same hair strand, the Detangling Hair Brush requires approximately 30%–40% fewer brush strokes than a regular plastic comb, meaning only about 2/3–3/5 of the brush strokes are needed to untangle.
The brush features a side-separated tooth design, allowing for more effective untangling of knots with each stroke, reducing the force required per stroke and thus decreasing the overall number of strokes.
It demonstrates a significant advantage in the number of strokes required for straight, wavy, and curly hair, with particularly outstanding results when dealing with stubborn knots.
